Phippsy is back behind the stove with his incredible head chef Marion Hakairai – Welcome to Noosa Junction, ZZ Taps!
Ah, where the cocktails flow and the chilli plum pork sings … in the oven it goes for three hours of love and Phippsy stickies it up with chilli plum n ginger glaze.
Better known as “Phippsy”, Andrew Phipps is just a bit of a Noosa icon. With a resume of television presenter, fishing expert, author, and master chef, he now adds restauranteur to the list as he puts his culinary talent to work, opening the door to ZZ Taps.
The latest new bar-restaurant to hit the ever-changing Noosa Junction opened on 19 August and so far, so great.
They are serving up tapas-style food, with quality seafood; scallops, calamari, smoked salmon, shared platters and Super Seafood Sundays.
Touting themselves to have the best cocktail barman in Noosa, Nathan Hedditch, the cocktails are a real highlight.
Grab some friends or pop by for an after work bevvy at the sunset bubbles and cocktails from 5pm with Espresso Martinis, ZZ Coladas, margaritas … .need I say more?
Yes, the food. Succulent Calamari or chilli n lime scallops on a bed of creamy spinach, coconut prawns and cajun fish burgers – Phippsy can do seafood!
The fun rock n roll beach vibes fusion adds to the atmosphere here and the tunes are always on.
Open Wednesday through to Monday for cocktails and great food from 5pm and lunch on Friday Saturday and Sunday. Bubbles and icy cold beers are their specialty.
